UPFEST street art collaboration
Upfest is Europes biggest street art and graffiti festival and it takes place right here in Bristol every year. In July, painter and muralist Yatika Fields became the first ever Native American artist to participate in this legendary event. Rainmaker Gallery invited Yatika Fields to Bristol for a solo exhibition of paintings and to collaborate with celebrated UK artist Guy Denning, on a mural portraying Native activist Tara Zhaabowekwe Houska. This iconic piece of Bristol street art came together over two exciting days of live painting in the sun and rain. It’s creation was watched by thousands of people, from across Europe and beyond, who descended on Bristol to see the best street art in the world arising before their very eyes. Rainmaker Gallery is super proud to have been instrumental in making this collaboration happen 🙂 .
